Project: Create Lead Generation Seasonal Hiring Campaign
For the California Chamber of Commerce, I developed a comprehensive lead generation campaign aimed at nurturing prospects through a sequence of strategically crafted interactions. The initiative kicked off with a LinkedIn advertisement designed to funnel leads into an automated nurture sequence consisting of four tailored emails. These communications ranged from offering a seasonal hiring checklist and additional resources, to a 7-Day free trial of HRCalifornia.com, a valuable member portal packed with HR tools and employment law content. I orchestrated the entire campaign, managing the LinkedIn social posts, boosted ad design/copy, HubSpot form, landing pages, and the email workflow to ensure a cohesive and engaging user experience.
Project: Redesign Membership Perks & Discounts Landing Page
I led the redesign of the outdated Perks & Discounts home page, infusing it with a sleek, modern interface optimized for user engagement and SEO. My initial mockup set the stage for this transformation, incorporating SEO-focused keywords to enhance discoverability. Collaborating with two other designers, we developed interactive "tiles" that provided dual functionality: a hover feature revealing key discount details and a clickable link leading members to a comprehensive page about the partner's services and exclusive offers. This redesign not only elevated the visual appeal but also improved navigation and SEO, making it easier for members to access their benefits effectively.
Project: Create High-Impact Membership Landing Page
For the California Chamber of Commerce, I developed a compelling membership value landing page aimed at addressing the unique needs of HR professionals and small business owners. I titled the landing page, "What's the Value of a CalChamber Membership?", and wrote all the copy, outlining the membership tiers and benefits such as saving time and money, staying connected, and building a positive work culture. The page featured a strong testimonial, membership statistics, and detailed the benefits of resources like harassment prevention training. My effective copywriting helped make this page one of the top 10 most visited on the CalChamber site for two years and running.
Project: Craft Compelling "About Us" Landing Page
I spearheaded the consolidation of four varied 'About Us' pages into a unified landing page, enhancing usability and SEO while incorporating fresh, strategically updated content. This new page prominently features the organization's mission statement, highlights the value of CalChamber membership, and details available compliance products and training opportunities, all interlinked for seamless navigation. Additionally, it serves as a comprehensive resource, linking to essential communication tools like newsletters, blogs, and The Workplace podcast, reinforcing CalChamber's role as a pivotal partner in success.
Project: The GA4 Upgrade Project
As project manager, I spearheaded the strategic upgrade from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4, coordinating with in-house teams and external vendors over a two-year period. Recognizing the need for specialized expertise due to Google's update mandates, I managed the project's timeline and personnel to ensure a smooth transition. Before my departure, I compiled and shared a detailed progress report with the Marketing Director, team members, and external vendors. This report highlighted the project’s accomplishments, current status, outstanding items, and obstacles, providing a clear roadmap for the continued advancement of the upgrade.
Project: From Boring to Striking - Vehicle Wrap
At Cisco Air Systems, I co-developed the concept of transforming the fleet's design by transitioning from a simple logo to dynamic, race car-inspired truck wraps. Alongside the CEO, we conceptualized a design featuring rally stripes, the company car number, and vivid imagery of air compressor equipment, complemented by social media icons, a concise list of services, and contact information. This striking design, executed by a local truck wrap company, significantly enhanced brand visibility on the road and remains in use today, with minor modifications. Additionally, this concept was adapted for a sister company, U.S. Equipment, based in Southern California.
Project: Create Lead Magnet Guide
In this guide, "Learn How to Profit With Purpose: 12 Tips on Ethical Marketing for Sustainable Growth," I explore the principles of ethical marketing and how it can drive sustainable revenue growth. Through comprehensive research, I examine the concepts and real-world applications of ethical marketing, drawing on examples from leading brands like Patagonia and Lola to illustrate key strategies. The book provides readers with 12 actionable tips, covering areas such as authenticity, customer privacy, environmental responsibility, and social accountability, all designed to help marketers operate more responsibly while achieving their business goals. This guide is an essential resource for anyone looking to integrate values-based marketing into their strategy to build a trustworthy and successful brand.
Project: Develop Ideal Client Profiles (ICPs)
For a past employer, I developed two distinct Ideal Client Profiles (ICPs) for HR Professionals and Small Business Owners, utilizing extensive research and real data. Using a proprietary framework, which I also apply in client engagements to build robust marketing foundations, I crafted detailed personas complemented by engaging fictional narratives for each profile. These ICPs were shared with the team, leadership, and external marketing vendors, enhancing content strategies and overall marketing effectiveness. The external vendors particularly appreciated the depth and utility of these profiles, acknowledging their significant impact on marketing initiatives.
